Thousands of protesters support Ethiopia's prime minister

Thousands of Ethians took to the streets on Tuesday in different towns in Oromia regional state and expressed their support for the social, economic and political management of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

Many of the towns located in the Finfine special zone hosted large demonstrations, in which protesters condemned the violence perpetrated by different organizations, mainly the destabilizing actions by the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF).

'We condemn the anti-peace activities of the TPLF-Shene group,' 'We support our leader, who won the Nobel Peace Prize', 'Unity will prevail', said Ahmed's supporters who, dressed in traditional costumes, carried the national and regional flags.

They also requested that the law enforcement process undertaken by the government continues in the regional state of Tigray and extends it to areas of the country where the subversion of the institutional order endangers national security.

They also praised the reforms promoted by the prime minister since April 2018, urged the opposition to respect leadership and urged citizens to contribute to government efforts to accelerate the nation's comprehensive growth.
