Borana people are the oldest of the group Oromo, living on the border between Ethiopia and Kenya. They are semi-nomadic herders, The Borana women wear a head scarf colorful coverings and beautiful necklaces. move with their herds of camels and cows, between the Juba River basin and the land of Konso. They live in huts made of wattle held together by clay and mud. Small domes are easily removed to be transported over long transhumance. The Borana extract salt, essential for feeding their cattle, small crater lakes (El Sod).
