Appointing a new comer in politics as Prime Minister is undermining Somalia politics
The appointment of Mohamed Hussein Roble as the new PM of Somalia by president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed as come under a heavy critism because the new PM has no political record to his name and the move as been described as the type the president is using to cement power around the presidency ahead of elections due next year.
Roble studied civil engineering and previously worked for the International Labour Organisation, a United Nations agency. He replaces Hassan Ali Khaire, who was sacked in July after a power struggle over whether to delay a national election due next year.
The stunt pulled by the president has also been described as the type that is helping him to swing the pendulum to his favour.
His relationship with President Farmajo and his appointment is a gratification for the Hawiyyah tribe in order to achieve the president's goal, which is his victory in the elections.
