Ethiopia tops 20,000 Covid-19 cases

Addis Ababa, Aug 6 (Prensa Latina) The Ethiopian Ministry of Health reported 459 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, so the African nation has reached 20,335 patients diagnosed with the virus.

During that period, some 7,319 clinical tests have been performed, according to the infection update issued by the health authority.

Some 358 patients have been recovered from the disease and 13 others have died, so the country totals 8,598 recoveries and 356 deaths.

Some 459,746 laboratory tests have been performed in Ethiopian territory, 11,380 of which have received medical treatment, included 185 patients admitted to the intensive care units.

UAE and Ethiopia discuss more avenues to enhance cooperation

  Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), received at the Fund’s headquarters Suleiman Dedefo, Ambassador of Ethiopia to the UAE. Senior officials from both sides were present at the meeting.
